Electrochemical and epitaxial deposition of type-I superconductors.

Studying dynamic behavior of various magnetic materials synthesized in Ames Lab. Involves wide frequency range measurements, extensive lab work, computer control of the experiment and data analysis.

Construction of a compensated-coil AC susceptometer.

Construction and use of a miniature magnetometer for measurements of local fields in superconductors and magnetic materials.

Use of various AC techniques to measure frequency-dependent susceptibility and conductivity. Two projects available - on non Fermi - liquid metals and on electron-doped superconductors.
